Because we only use the highest quality materials, offering tableware that goes beyond your expectations…
Tablemats, Placemats and Coasters
Sturdy and long-lasting, our placemats and tablemats are 4.8mm thick and our coasters 3.5mm thick, making them luxuriously substantial and nearly double the average thickness of alternative brands.
Heat-resistant to 160°C – nearly one third higher than average – they’re also ultra-resilient against the common reasons for damage: hot plates and pans.
We want the materials we use to do justice to our exquisite designs, so all our tablemats, placemats and coasters are made from eucalyptus board from sustainable forests, finished off with a high-performance melamine coating.
You don’t want a wobbly placemat that slips around, so we’ve ensured ours sit perfectly flat and stay put – a real must for quality tableware. With a choice of baize felt or natural cork they won’t bow like the more commonly available alternatives.
Glass Platters and Worktop Savers
Made from odour and stain-resistant toughened recycled glass, our glass platters and worktop savers are great for all types of food preparation. Unlike their wooden or plastic alternatives, onions and garlic won’t linger!
They’re great for preparing raw meat – harmful bacteria won’t soak into the surface. Unlike other glass platters and worktop savers, ours are dishwasher safe – so you can blast off any harmful raw food.
When you’re chopping or putting an oven-hot dish down, you don’t want your glass platter or worktop saver slipping. Ours have discreet nonslip rubber feet so they sit strong and sturdy.
Designed to withstand dishes straight from the oven, our worktop savers and glass platters are heat-resistant to 180°C.
Beauty is in the detail – our worktop savers have a luxurious feather finish for cutting, and our glass platters have an attractive enamel-like shine.
Last but not least…
We only invite the most innovative and exciting artists to create our designs, so the quality of design will always live up to the quality of the product.
Because we want to provide unusual and unexpected products, you won’t find our designs on anyone else’s range of tableware. However, some designs can be found on coordinated products. If you’d like to know more,
send us an email.
Since we sell each product separately, you can be creative with your choices. Perhaps a mix of Nathalie Lété and Patch NYC for the table?
Our style of tableware embraces traditional craftsmanship, and is carefully selected from the best resources Europe has to offer. Our placemats are handmade in England and our ceramics are hand glazed from Portugal. Much of our linen is hand finished from Florence and our trays are produced from the finest quality Swedish birch wood. We support British manufacturing, as well as sourcing the very best in European goods.
Because all our products are made using tough, high-quality materials, you’ll find it easy to keep them looking beautiful for years to come. But here are some tips to help you get the most out of them:
Tablemats, Placemats and Coasters
Because our tablemats, placemats and coasters are finished off with a high-quality melamine coating, you can clean the surface with a damp cloth. You can then buff them up with a dry cloth to dry them off and give them an additional shine.
After use, brush off any crumbs from the baize or cork bottom. This will keep the product fresh and ensure your table looks just as good next time round.
As with all mats, avoid sharp surfaces on the gloss finish – that’s what our worktop savers and glass platters are for!
Avoid leaving your mats and coasters in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time. As with all similar products, some discoloration can occur.
Because your product has been made using natural materials, warping may occur if stored next to a radiator or in very humid conditions. We advise against immersing in water or leaving in damp conditions as this can cause bubbling.
Our placemats, tablemats and coasters don’t like the dishwasher. But we’ve given them a high-quality melamine surface so all they require is a quick wipe.
Glass Platters and Worktop Savers
Unlike other worktop savers in the market, we use an innovative hand-applied technique to print our glass pieces, making them dishwasher safe.
However, usually a quick rinse or wipe with a damp soapy cloth will suffice.
Made from sturdy, toughened glass, your glass platter or worktop saver is more likely to dent your floor than break if you drop it, so shattering isn’t a big concern!
Home Linens
All of our tea towels are made of linen and/or cotton, and are machine washable between 40 and 60 degrees depending on the material, so make sure you check the label.
They are all suitable for use with a hot iron, apart from the waffle towels which don’t require one.
Ceramics
All of our ceramics are made from high quality porcelain. They are hand glazed with a metallic finish, so are not suitable for the dishwasher or microwave.
We recommend they are hand washed in order to preserve the metallic gold motif.
